*Simon Gagne didn't make the trip to Washington, and is doubtful to return Saturday night against the Panthers. Though Gagne (neck/back) is feeling better, and has skated with the team, coach Guy Boucher said he's not had enough practice time to be comfortable getting back into a game.

"To be honest with you, I don't want to focus on him at all," Boucher said this morning. "We've got the guys that are here. The other day, he was close. But not close enough. There's not enough team practices for him to feel comfortable right now. And he won't really get any in the next day or so it was no use bringing him on this trip."
